CT BioBlitz 2007: Home

The Connecticut BioBlitz is one of the largest science events in the state. This annual event is part contest, part festival, part educational event, and part scientific endeavor. Scientists and students will race to see how many species of life they can identify in just 24 hours in an area surrounding a chosen site in Connecticut.

This year's BioBlitz is hosted at the Wilbert Snow School in Middletown, CT on June 8 and 9, where world-renowned scientists, teachers and students, and the public will come together to celebrate biodiversity in the state of Connecticut.

This is the seventh BioBlitz held in the state of Connecticut, with previous locations such as Two Rivers Magnet Middle School in 2005, Bates Woods Park in New London in 2003, and Keney Park in Hartford in 1999. This BioBlitz, however, is promised to be the biggest ever.
