100
Years of Women Scholarship
UConn's Women's Center is pleased to announce
the granting of the 100 Years of Women Scholarship. This
scholarship fund was established to honor a current UConn
student (who will be enrolled in the Fall) or high school
senior planning to enroll in the University of Connecticut
who has demonstrated a commitment to women's issues through
service to their community or school.
The following eligibility criteria have been
established as guidelines in the selection process. The
applicant must:
- be in need of financial assistance;
- demonstrate high academic performance; and
- demonstrate a commitment to women's issues through service
to their community or school; and
- be a current UConn undergraduate or graduate student (who
will be enrolled in the Fall), or high school senior planning
to enroll at UConn.
To apply, the applicant must complete and submit an application
form, including an unofficial transcript and two letters of
recommendation from individuals who can comment on their commitment
and service to women's issues. Application forms are available
at the UConn
Women's Center (Student Union, Room 421) or the Office
of Student Financial Aid Services, located in the Wilbur Cross
Building. Applications must be received by February
27, 2009.
